Indonesian Telkom School of Art and Design or STISI Telkom is one of the pioneer higher education institution specialized in the field of Art and Design, it is the most comprehensive study program at the time. STISI Telkom focus its graduates to become experts in the field of art and design skills, insight, and maximize the potential of entrepreneurship, as a response to the demands of society and the needs of the creative industries in Indonesia and the world.

During the 23 years of existence, more than 1,200 alumni of the study program in Visual Communication Design, Interior Design, Product Design, Textile and Fashion Craft, who holds S.Ds. (Bachelor of Design), as well as the Fine Arts (Painting and Sculpture) who holds S.Sn. (Bachelor of Arts), has contributed significantly to the development of Creative industries in Indonesia, through diverse portfolio of artwork and designs that are used in various industrial sectors.

The educational program at STISI Telkom specifically designed to produce graduates who are not only able to work in the Creative Industries, but also has the potential of entrepreneurship / work independently and create more jobs in the field of Creative Industries, in accordance with the tagline”Empowering You to Become Creativepreneur”. STISI Telkom Students are educated to have powerful skills in the field of art and design (both manual and computerized), with an emphasis on nature and culture of Indonesia.

Equipped with insight expansion and conceptual enrichment(knowledge) in the field of supporting science and other social sciences, including management, entrepreneurship, intellectual property rights (IPR), and attitude to become professional designers and creative people of the future. All these faculties gradually sharpened and actualized through the CBC program (Creative Business Coaching), where the prospective graduates realize creative business plan and portfolio of artwork / design under the guidance of lecturers and creative industry practitioners. CBC program support financial assistance with source from industry partners, the relevant ministries and agencies both central or local government, various financial institutions and banks.

STISI Telkom is the transformation of STISI that was established on 2 September 1990, was founded by Drs. Usnadibrata, M.Sn. under the Mandiri Indonesia Education Foundation. At the beginning of its establishment in 1990, STISI Bandung organized three courses, namely S1 Visual Communication Design, S1 Textile and Fashion Craft and S1 Interior Design. The addition of courses S1 Product Design implemented in 1991 and S1 Fine Arts in 1995. In 2010 STISI Bandung joined Telkom Education Foundation became STISI Telkom.

In the process of merging into Telkom University in 2013, STISI Telkom transformed into the Faculty of Creative Industries (FIK) or Telkom Creative Industries School (TCIS). Furthermore, in 2014 the naming of Telkom Creative Industries School (TCIS) was changed to the School of Creative Industries (SCI).

Classes Begin at late August, registration start in April for every Academic Year.
